The quality of the 6-line load cell can be judged by the following methods:
1. Appearance inspection:
- Check whether the surface of the sensor is smooth and clean, without obvious damage or cracks.
- Check whether the connection part is firm and whether the screws are loose.
- Pay attention to whether the label and identification of the load cell are clear and complete, which helps to understand its manufacturer, model, specification and other information.
2. Impedance discrimination method:
- Use a multimeter to test the input and output impedance of the sensor, as well as the insulation resistance between the core wires of the signal cable and the shielding layer.
- Remove the two output wires and input wires of the sensor one by one and test their impedance.
- If the test result does not reach the value on the certificate, it can be judged as a faulty sensor.
3. Signal output judgment:
- Measure the number of mv between SIG+ and SIG- lines using a multimeter in the empty scale state.
- If the mv number is about 1-3 MV without load (see the product manual), it is correct; If the mv number is particularly large, it indicates that the sensor is damaged.
- When loading, the mv number should be increased in proportion to the weight loaded, the maximum is 5V (excitation voltage) × 2 mv/V (sensitivity) = about 10mv, if not, it means that the sensor is damaged.
4. Repetitive detection:
- The same load is measured several times to observe the change of the output signal.
- If the fluctuation range of the output signal is small, it indicates that the repeatability of the load cell is good and the performance is stable.
- If the fluctuation range of the output signal is large, it indicates that the repeatability of the load cell is poor, and there may be quality problems.
5. Alternative method:
- If the above method cannot determine the quality of the sensor, an alternative method can be used.
- Replace the sensor under test with a known normal sensor and observe whether the system returns to normal operation.
6. Refer to the technical manual:
- If there is a sensor specification manual, it can be judged according to the standard parameters and test methods in the manual.
Please note that when performing these tests, ensure that safe operating procedures are followed and that measurement tools are used correctly. At the same time, for users who do not have professional knowledge, it is recommended to seek the help of professional technical personnel.
